Our History

2014

Transitional Housing Inc. Becomes Front Steps Services

Board of Directors of Transitional Housing Inc., [THI] under the Leadership of Sherri Brandon, Executive Director, embarked upon a strategic planning process and changed the name of THI to Front Steps Housing and Sevices as well as creating Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), a new, housing model to align with the goals of Housing and Urban Development [HUD], the Contunuum of Care, led byThe Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services and Housing First to offer permanent housing to Chronically Homeless individuals in Cuyahoga County.

2015

Front Steps Services Develops Behavioral, Mental Health, & Substance Use Treaments

Developed Behavioral Health Services including Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Treatment Services (Evidenced-Based best practices)

2016

Received CARF Accreditation

In 2016 Front Steps Services received CARF Accreditation for Behavioral Health Services.

Certified by Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OHMHAS)

Construction for Affordable Housing Approved

Approved for Low Income Housing Tax Credit for construction of new 68-unit one-bedroom affordable housing unit, St. Joesph's Commons
